Autumn Favourites

As usual my excuses for abandoning my blog recently are feeble. I moved into my new house this month so have been settling back into the swing of uni (sleeping). I really love my new bedroom but the lighting is atrocious and I'm struggling to find a half decent background for photos. The decreasing daylight hours are also not helping so please bear with me.

Lighting grumbles aside, I'm a huge Autumn fan and I'm loving the abundance of rosy golden leaves constantly swirling in my face. I can't get enough grey, copper and berry tones and refuse to leave the house without bundling up in at least three metres of scarf. My favourites list could easily be ten pages long but after much deliberation, I've narrowed it down to an extra special select few.

My favourite of the Naked Palettes (although my least favourite packaging), the original contains a beautiful selection of warm toned bronze, gold and pink tones. As I'm painfully pale and have light hair, I think warm tones are the most flattering on my eyes. My go to shade is 'sidecar' but I love blending 'half baked' with 'toasted' for a smoky rose gold look.

I have a moderate salted caramel obsession and have repurchased this candle many times. Strong enough to fill the room with a deliciously warming scent without being overpowering, this pot of joy is a dream all year round.

Salted Caramel Latte
Having recently been trained on the coffee machine at work, I've been whipping myself up 'practice' salted caramel lattes until I'm off my face on caffeine. I adore the sweetness of the caramel with the added kick off salt to enrich the coffee flavour. I'm not really a fan of the Starbucks pumpkin spice latte but I'm eagerly awaiting the return of the festive Costa drinks.

A cult classic, Rimmel 107 is the perfect Autumn berry shade. Paired with the Wine lip liner from the same range, this lip look has amazing staying power and looks like you put way more effort into your make up than you actually did. As someone who rarely strays from a nude lip, this has been a brave contrast to my usual look but it makes me feel super sassy and I'm loving it.

I've been on the hunt for a coat that's both stylish and warm for ages and this beauty fits the bill perfectly. Grey is my absolute favourite colour and one that compliments most of my wardrobe so I'll definitely get a lot of wear out of it. The hidden zip and single popper fastening give a sleek silhouette to the boyish fit. The pockets are fake but can easily be undone to form a fully functioning set. My only gripe is that the sleeves come up really short.

New Look Oversized Scarf
In preparation for winter in the north, I'm stocking up on all things oversized and cosy. This scarf is excessively massive and doubles up nicely as a blanket. The material is super soft and snuggly, I plan to live in it. I just couldn't resist all those grey knits to pair with my new coat.

I've been eyeing up Clinique's blush pops for some time and when I finally hit pan on my old Rimmel blusher, I treated myself to a splurge. The flower print is so cute and the packaging is sophisticated but easily dirtied. Ginger is a dark shimmery peach but beware when applying as the product is amazingly pigmented.
