Trying Green Tea

In a bid to get healthier, I've jumped on the green tea bandwagon. I know I'm a bit late to this party but oh well. Starting from this week, I'm going to try to drink a cup or two every day for the next month to see if it's worth the hype surrounding its health benefits. Experts claim these range from building up your immune system to reducing breakouts, although they say that about a lot of things. At the end of the two weeks I'll update you if I've noticed any changes.

I find raw green tea to be rather unpleasant... it tastes sort of dry? Instead, I like to add a teaspoon of honey to sweeten it, plus honey has a lot of its own health benefits so it's a win win! I also really like the flavour variations available in the ever expanding green tea section in Tesco, my favourites are the Twinings Peach and Cherry Blossom and Ginger. An important tip if you're making green tea is to cover the teabag with cold water before adding boiling water, this stops the tea being burnt which gives it that bitter taste!

Do you like green tea? What are your favourite flavours? Have you noticed any health improvements?

Love, Anna x
