Garnier Haul: Skin and Hair

The first thing I picked up was the Softening Cleansing Lotion for normal to dry skin, although I have combination skin I prefer to use more hydrating products at night to lock in moisture. The lotion claims to remove face and eye makeup, even waterproof - a pretty strong statement. As instructed, I applied some product to a cotton pad and directly wiped off my makeup. I don't wear particularly heavy makeup, but it took four cotton pads loaded up with lotion before my makeup was completely removed, they just seemed to absorb it! I stuck with it though and tried first using a wipe to remove most of my makeup before going in with the lotion which I've found to work a lot better and really cleanse the last traces of makeup. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and stops it getting dehydrated over night. Not my favourite makeup remover, but not bad for the price.

I also picked up the Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream, quite a mouthful! I like to use oil free moisturiser as it helps my makeup to sit nicely and gives it a more matte finish. I've had my eye on this moisturiser for some time now but as I can't fault my Freederm Perfecting Moisturiser I've been too loyal to try something new. It contains green tea extract so the refreshing spa like smell swayed me a little as I've been loving green tea at the moment. The Moisture Match is lovely and smooth to apply and I didn't have to waft around waiting for it to dry for ages which I liked. I've been using this product twice a day for about a week and it's definitely helping to balance out my combination skin, I definitely recommend it.

Lastly I opted for a hair product, something I usually neglect in favour of makeup - oops! I choose the Ultimate Blends Marvellous Glow Oil as I like the shampoo version but it's a little too heavy for my hair. This oil acts as a heat protector, a UV filter, a smoothing gloss and a hair perfume, all in one! It smells gorgeously exotic and can be used on wet or dry hair. It instantly improves the appearance of my hair to look much healthier and smoother, without leaving a sticky, greasy residue. My favourite out of the three products and it suits all hair types so I'd recommend it to everyone.

Which are your favourite Garnier products?
