Soap & Glory Makeup | Review

Soap & Glory is probably my favourite high street makeup brand. It has the luxe quality and sleek design of high end yet still carries an affordable price tag. It also seems to do everything well, rather than just one star product holding the brand up, it scores high in all areas. As usual, I got sucked into the Boots 3 for 2 offer and this time Soap & Glory was whispering my name.

I'll justify this by mentioning I used up my brow pencil, so this was basically an essential trip... I picked up Brow Archery, Supercat and Sexy Mother Pucker and I have no regrets. Another of my faves is Solar Powder bronzer but the one I got for Christmas is somehow still going strong!

Brow Archery 2 in 1 Filling Pencil & Brush, 'Blonde-Shell' - £8
I'd never been satisfied with my brows until I tried this product. After finally trying it out for the first time this year, it's become my holy grail brow pencil and I haven't so much as looked at another. Although Brow Archery is only available in a few shades, 'Blonde-Shell' is the perfect tone for my natural brows without looking too harsh against my bleached hair. The pencil is really fine, making it easy to draw in natural strokes. I like to pair it with Collection's clear mascara (bizzarely named 'Colour Lash') to keep my brows in place all day (easier said than done when your 9 year old self shaved some off).

Supercat Carbon Black Extreme Eyeliner Pen - £6
At just £6, this one is an absolute bargain. Supercat is one of the thinnest nibbed felt tip eyeliners I've found, meaning it takes a steady hand to perfect but gives wings sharp enough to take a man's eye out. Unlike many felt pen liners I've tried, this one stays pure black without fading into any grey areas. My one gripe with Supercat is that it tends to print on to my upper eyelids, but this is a repurchase so it can't be that bad.

Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick Satin, 'Perfect Day' - £9
This is my first Soap & Glory lipstick and I'm seriously impressed. The packaging is sophisticated and the quality is on par with Mac. The formula is super moisturising and doesn't dry crumbly like a lot of drug store lipsticks. Admittedly I picked 'Perfect Day' up as my swatch looked a lot more natural (damn deceptive Boots lighting) but the true shade is a muted brown red which looks gorgeous against my skin tone anyway. Tip: Ignore the swatch on both the Boots and S&G websites as they are shockingly inaccurate. I may have to edit my Top 5 Lipsticks post because this beautiful creation is a game changer, I can't wait to get my paws on other shades!
