15 Things I Learnt In 2015

2015 was the year I learnt a little about education, a bit about independence and a lot about adulting. Inspirational life lesson type posts tend to make me feel violently sick, so here are some more useful and practical things I've discovered.

1. It is possible to enjoy a job and it's not normal to absolutely dread going to work. Bosses can be decent people.

2. You can still have a fun night without alcohol.

3. How to cook a full Christmas dinner.

4. Heels are definitely not worth the pain, Vans will never betray you like that.

5. It's important to stand up for what you believe in. Also important to pick your battles, don't start a fist fight with your racist grandparents.

6. How to drive a car (finally).

7. How to successfully navigate an airport without a proper adult.

8. Socks and cheese are now much appreciated presents.

9. Don't be pressured into downloading Windows 10, your tech knowledge doesn't extend past Microsoft 2007.

10. Stand your ground, never become a Belieber.

11. Colouring books aren't just for children.

12. You don't enjoy clubbing and never will, stop torturing yourself just accept that you are 83 and prefer a cup of tea on the sofa.

13. Avocados. Do believe the hype.

14. It's important to forgive yourself if you've learnt from a mistake.

15. Cher wrote 'Believe' in the bath.
