Skincare Favourites 2017 #Blogmas

5 Blogmas posts already? Consistency? Who is this new me? After my last post chatting about my Makeup FavouritesI thought I'd follow up with the skincare addition. I'm absolutely committed to a proper skincare routine. I strictly always remove my makeup before bed and am notorious for shouting at my friends for using face wipes. I've tried a few different products over the years but don't mix it up too much for fear of angering my skin, so my routine has been roughly the same for most of 2017.

I feel a bit unsure about posting this as I have suffered with acne since the age of 15. Although it does seem to be very slowly, very slightly improving, scarring is still a big problem for me. Evidently, the products mentioned below are not a miracle treatment and I absolutely don't want to promote them as that. However, they are genuinely a joy to use and do soothe my skin. It's not overly dry or oily and I don't have any wrinkles yet, so maybe my dedication to a decent skincare routine is doing some good!

Cleanser/Makeup Remover: Good Things Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser*

Scrub: Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Cleanser*

Face Mask: Lush The Birth of Venus Jelly Mask

Toner: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion*

Serum: Glossier Super Pure

Moisturiser: Soap and Glory Speed Plump All Day Moisture Marvel*

Oil: The Ordinary Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil

Acid: The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 2% Solution

Lip Balm: The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter*

My favourite skin saviour of the year is definitely The Ordinary's Rosehip Oil, which I use to soothe red acne scars. It doesn't magically banish them, but makes a really noticeable difference in fading them which I am so grateful for. I've also been loving the Soap and Glory moisturiser because it's wonderfully hydrating and smells deliciously fruity - I'm such a sucker for products with lovely scents! I haven't been using an eye cream since an old, non cruelty free pot ran out, so please let me know if you have a favourite to recommend.
